Irving Jail Release Paths
Irving publishes a current in-custody PDF. It is a snapshot, not a historical release report. Use it to see whether the person appears in reported city custody, then save the available identifiers. A no-result does not prove release.
Irving warns that automated payment systems do not notify a jail to release someone. Contact the actual holding facility after payment or warrant action. The jail manager's published line is 972-721-2456. Ask whether release processing finished or whether another agency received the person.
Confirm an Irving Release
The current PDF and payment system answer narrow questions. The jail answers the custody question. A court entry may show why release was authorized, but another warrant or hold can change the result.
Use this Irving sequence:
- Collect full name, date of birth, arrest date, and city case or warrant number.
- Check the Irving in-custody PDF.
- Call the actual holding facility at the published jail manager line.
- Ask for actual release time, type, and transfer destination.
- If Dallas County received the person, switch to the county lookup and Sheriff record request.
The Dallas County release record path applies to a confirmed county transfer, not to an Irving-only custody event.
Irving Release Record Fields
A useful city record connects the person, municipal case, and custody-ending action. Ask for existing code definitions rather than guessing what a short disposition means.
| Field | Use |
|---|---|
| Name, DOB, city identifier | Matches the person and detention event. |
| Arrest and booking time | Places the person in city custody. |
| Actual release or transfer time | Shows when the city episode ended. |
| Release type | Identifies the recorded basis. |
| Destination | Separates community release from transfer. |
| Holds | Explains delay or another agency’s claim. |
Municipal court documents can establish a legal outcome. They cannot timestamp physical departure. Pair the court entry with the city custody transaction, and keep both timestamps if they differ.
Irving and County Custody
The city and county systems have separate records. Dallas County intake and release processing centers on Lew Sterrett at Commerce Street. A city transfer to the county creates a new booking trail. Keep both identifiers because a city warrant number may not match the county booking number.
The Sheriff lookup reports current county custody, charges, bonds, holds, and housing. It has no release field. A county disappearance after a city transfer is only a lead. Court records and VINE can support the trail, while the Sheriff transaction supplies the county departure and destination.
- Municipal custody
- Detention by the City of Irving for a municipal matter.
- Transfer
- Movement to another custodian rather than community release.
- Release transaction
- The operational record of time, type, and destination.
- Disposition
- The legal result, which does not prove the exit time.
Irving Release Destinations
Community release is one outcome after the city matter and all holds clear. Transfer to Dallas County is another. A county-level case or warrant can place the person in Lew Sterrett even though city custody has ended. Confirm the destination before choosing the next search.
TDCJ handles state imprisonment after a state commitment. Federal custody belongs with USMS or BOP. ICE uses its own locator and field-office channels. Another city or county may also receive the person. Each agency’s release applies only to its custody boundary.
Preserve the times when sources disagree. Court action may precede detention processing, while the receiving booking can appear after transport and intake.
Irving Release Holds and ICE
A city release can be delayed or redirected by another valid hold. If staff identify Dallas County, move to the Sheriff route. If a record identifies ICE, use immigration custody sources. A federal immigration detainer can request custody for up to 48 hours beyond the otherwise applicable release time, excluding weekends and holidays.
Use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System for a named immigration transfer. ODLS has spelling, age, lag, and retention limits. A failed search does not erase the source agency’s transfer record.
Note: A city release to another agency ends city custody but does not establish community freedom.
Irving Jail Records Contact
The city jail manager is the direct contact documented in the research. The official current PDF and city warrants page support the first check.
Irving City Jail
Jail manager: 972-721-2456
Online source: Current in-custody PDF
Use: Current custody, completed release, and receiving agency.
If the city identifies Dallas County as the destination, call county jail information at 214-761-9025. Request the later county transaction if exact county release or transfer facts matter.
Irving Payment and Release Timing
Irving's payment warning addresses a common source of mistaken release claims. An online or automated payment may satisfy an amount, but the holding facility still needs the relevant notice and must review all cases and holds. Save the receipt and court entry as evidence of the legal or payment action. Then call the actual jail and ask whether release processing finished.
If Irving transfers the person to Dallas County, use the county lookup for current custody. It can show booking details, charges, bonds, and holds, but it has no release field. When that county record later disappears, check the Dallas court file and VINE event, call 214-761-9025, and request the Sheriff release transaction. Ask for the exact date, time, type, and destination.
Do not merge the payment time, court action, Irving departure, county intake, and later county release. They can all differ. Each timestamp describes a separate step. A transfer to TDCJ, federal authority, ICE, or another county also means confinement may continue. State which agency released the person and which record supports that narrow fact.
Irving Release Record Check
For an older Irving custody event, supply name variants, date of birth, arrest range, and city case or warrant number. Ask for existing records rather than a new analysis. Online absence can result from retention, migration, or lawful access limits. Report that limit plainly and do not infer release from a missing PDF entry.
